East Moline, IL (May 15, 2015) – Kim Conley, Chicago Regional Sales
Manager recently won the “Star Award” from parent company DHL Freight for
her outstanding sales performance in 2014. Conley was one of 26 sales reps
receiving the honor among the hundreds of sales reps DHL Freight employs all
over the world.
The award was presented at the DHL Global Freight sales conference in Bonn,
Germany.
Kim was able to embrace and achieve change by implementing effective yield
strategies critical to the profitability of her region and the company.
Despite challenging economic circumstances and driver capacity constraints,
she was instrumental in improving key measurables that have led to improved
overall profitability. Kim also took on several other projects that have
become foundations in communication and sales training for Standard
Forwarding. Kim developed the quarterly Standard Forwarding Newsletter in an
effort to improve intra-company communication which has been well received by
employees. Also, her previous background as a transportation sales trainer
proved to be a natural fit for her to assist in developing a training manual
for new sales reps. Using feedback from the current sales team along with
input from recent new hires, the manual is now the main reference tool when
onboarding new outside sales representatives. Kim has also been very active
and involved with the local Chicago terminal operation. Her direct involvement
with the terminal manager and staff was one of the main reason the Chicago
terminal led the company in driver participation during the Drivers Sales Lead
Contest. Finally, she also participates in monthly driver sales meetings and
has been an active participant on the Chicago safety team.
Her achievements highlight the truly exceptional work in delivering the best
solutions and services that positively impact our customers and the company.
It is certainly an honor she was selected as one of the few to receive this
prestigious sales award!
